MONTANARO, JAMES E. “Jim”, 62, Northern Cambria, passed away September 19, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born April 8, 1962, in Spangler, the son of Matthew and Thelma Oleen (Warner) Montanaro. Preceded in death by parents; daughters, Dana Lynn and Paula Diane Meray; brother, Anthony Montanaro Sr., brother-in-law, Roy McClure and Gerald Zedek Sr.; and sisters-in-law, Sandra Hickok, Connie Keith and his beloved dog Gizmo who just passed on August 30th. Survived by loving wife of 25 years, Patricia “Patti” (Sowers) Montanaro; children, Kelley Ann Bachik (Ronnie Nagle); Danielle Linn (Chris) Harris; David James Montanaro (Brandy Westrick), all of Northern Cambria; Jessica Denise (Jeremy) Huntley, Fort Worth, TX; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, siblings, Debra Zedek, Northern Cambria; Matthew Montanaro, Northern Cambria; Camie McClure, South Carolina; Thelma (Tom) Zaliznock, Watkins; Fred (Alyssa) Montanaro, Northern Cambria; Angelo (Megan) Montanaro, Pittsburgh; Vincent Montanaro (fiancé of Kristen), VA; special son-in-law, Matthew Bachik; and lifetime best friend, William Taranto. Also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Formerly employed at US Foods as a Distribution Manager. Member of Sons of American Legion Post 569 and American Legion Riders, Spangler. US Army Veteran. Jim was an avid Harley rider, Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed spending his free time working on his “Cowboy Cadillac”, the El Camino. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed dearly by all that knew him. Family and friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria.
