Jane C. (Bender) Bearer

BEARER, JANE C., 87, Indiana, formerly of Carrolltown and Ebensburg, passed away December 19, 2024.  Born September 3, 1937, in Carrolltown, the daughter of Dennis and Marie (Yeckley) Bender.  Preceded in death by parents; stepmother, Helen (Good) Bender; loving husband, Regis Bearer, who died April 11, 2001; son, Wesley Bearer; brothers, Hayden, Paul, Harold, Ed, Dennis Jr., Jim, Norman and Sherman Bender; sisters, Louella Gauntner, Othella Farabaugh, Elva Gillette, Catherine Stock, and Mazie Scanlon; stepsisters, Doris White and Peggy Bender; and stepbrother, Albert Good.  Survived by loving daughters, Cindy (Charles) Hollen, Indiana; Joyce Bearer, Ebensburg and Lisa Swart, Johnstown; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Sister of Denise (Joe) Fox, Patton; Dwight Bender, Patton; Betty Ann (Pat) Leslie, Nicktown; Ronald (Janet) Bender, Cherry Tree; and stepbrothers, Eugene and Herbert Good, both of Ohio.  Jane retired after working many years as a clerk at Fisher’s Big Wheel in Carrolltown.  She enjoyed working in her yard and creating beautiful flower gardens.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who always had time for her family.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the greatest joys in her life, and she adored all of them.  As part of a large family, she looked forward to seeing everyone at the annual Bender Family Reunion and has faithfully attended for the past 69 years.  She will be deeply missed by all.  Family and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2024, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria.  Pastor Kevin Stock officiating.  Committal, St. Benedict Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to American Cancer Society.
