Janet (Mason) Weir

WEIR, JANET,  71, Johnstown, formerly of Patton, passed away January 8, 2025.  Born November 12, 1953, in Queens, NY, the daughter of Joseph Mason and Marie (Miklo) Mason Torchick.  Preceded in death by parents; loving husband, James R. Weir, who died December 12, 2005; daughter, Misty Anne Aman; brother, Robert Mason and sister, Joan Becke.   Survived by sons, Bill J. Mason, Patton; and James R. Weir II, York; also four grandchildren.  Janet was formerly employed as a seamstress at the garment factory in Patton.   She was a former member of Patton Borough Council and enjoyed doing arts and crafts in her free time.  Honoring her wishes there will be no public visitation or services.  Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria in charge of arrangements.
