DUMM, JEAN M., 91, Nicktown, passed away December 4, 2023, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born May 28, 1932, in Ebensburg, the daughter of Raymond and Rose (Frank) Stevens. Preceded in death by parents; loving husband, Cornelius Dumm, who died May 27, 2011; and sisters, Rosemary Hoover and Shirley Ratchford. Survived by son, Carl (Eileen) Dumm, Summerhill; daughters, Marilyn (Edward) Lapczynski, Cresson; Cheryl (Martin) Long, Ephrata; Beth (Richard) Farabaugh, Carrolltown; and Lois Dumm, Nicktown. Grandmother of Patrick and Jason Hertzog; Sara Stasik; Joseph, Jeffrey and Jared Lapczynski; Benjamin, Mark, Daniel and Steven Long; Christopher Farabaugh; and twenty-three great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings, Kay Bambocci, Patricia Ashdown, Constance Ricciardella, and Raymond Stevens. Member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Nicktown, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Altar & Rosary Society, Legion of Mary, and a Blue Army member. Jean was a devout Catholic who lived her life and raised her family guided by her strong faith in God and devotion to the Blessed Mother. A beautiful person, inside and out, she adored her family, loved welcoming people into her home, and traveling especially to Medjugorje and the Holy Land. She will be deeply missed. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 11, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Fr. Jeremiah Lange, OSB, PhD, celebrant. Committal, St. Nicholas Cemetery.
