Joann M. (Georgianna) Sedlock

SEDLOCK, JOANN M., 90, Northern Cambria, passed away September 8, 2025.  Born December 21, 1934, in Altoona, the daughter of Andrew and Josephine (Polito) Georgianna.  Preceded in death by parents; and loving husband, Edward “Skutch” Sedlock, who died November 15, 1982.  Survived by children, Laura Sedlock, Northern Cambria; John (Karen) Sedlock, Northern Cambria; Shirley Sedlock, Miami; Edward (Stephanie) Sedlock; Northern Cambria; and Karen (Jeff) Messina, Northern Cambria; grandchildren,  Jonathan (Tracy), Katelyn (Joe), Eddie Sedlock, Justin (Madison), Brittany (Josh) Bracken, Kelley (Mike) Cerchione, Allison Sedlock, Matt Sedlock, Ben Messina, Ava Messina; and great-grandchildren, Clayton Price, Dominic Bracken, and Augustus Bracken.  Also survived by special family friends, David and Sherry Atkins, Anthony and Alex Atkins.  Joann worked many years in the cafeteria of Northern Cambria School District. Former member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Barnesboro.   Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.  She enjoyed going to bingo with her friends.  She was a loving and supportive mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She loved family life, watching her children and grandchildren grow up and sharing in their achievements.  She made family gatherings at holidays and special events a time everyone looked forward to.  Family and friends will be received from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.  Fr. Mark Groeger officiating.  Committal, St. John’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.
