John J. Bernard

BERNARD, JOHN J., 81, Northern Cambria, passed away August 23, 2024.  Born October 7, 1942, in Spangler, the son of Joseph and Mary (Kolasa) Bernard.  Preceded in death by parents and loving wife, Anne (Kirsch) Bernard, who died June 1, 2010.  Survived by daughter, Terry (Mike) Hogan, Northern Cambria; sons, Richard Bernard, Northern Cambria and Robert (Renee) Bernard, Nicktown; grandchildren, Ashley (John) Price, Russell Hogan (Alex Lobo), Jeffrey Hogan, and Marguerite Hogan; Marinda Bernard (James Curtis), Brooke Bernard and Mallory Bernard; Guiseppe and Tommy Bernard; and great-granddaughter, Jesselyn Price.  Also survived by brother, Joseph (Suse) Bernard, Cherry Tree.  Retired principal for Northern Cambria School District.  Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.  Family and friends are invited to a funeral mass which will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 29, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.  Fr. Mark Groeger officiating.  Committal, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
