John Joseph Green Sr.

Green, John Joseph, 76, Northern Cambria, passed away December 6, 2024, at home.  Born February 25, 1948, in Spangler, the son of Cecil Green and Lena (Tuley) Green Maines.  Preceded in death by parents; loving wife, Mary Kathryn (Bacho) Green, who died in 2019; brother, James Green; and sisters, Cecilia Yedlosky and Margaret “Marge” Davis.  Survived by children, John Joseph Jr. (Sarah) Green, Leesburg, VA; Brenda Lee (Raymond) Weakland, Hastings; Kerry Ann (Rolando) Noguera, Springfield, VA; Sharon Marie (Raymond) Granat, Northern Cambria; James Allen (Melissa) Green, Carrolltown; also 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.  Brother of Marie Kerr, Dorothy Dospoy, both of Northern Cambria; Debra Muhlbauer, Altoona; and Junior Maines, Williamsport.  John worked many years as a maintenance worker for Hastings Borough.  John enjoyed socializing with his family and friends.  He always had a smile on his face and kept his “Happy Go Lucky” attitude.  He was a life-long Steeler football fan.  Family and friends will be received from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria.
