John M. Hollewa Jr.

HOLLEWA, JOHN M. JR., 59, St. Benedict, passed away May 26, 2022, at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  Born September 24, 1962, in Spangler, son of the John M. Sr. and Barbara (Elick) Hollewa.  Preceded in death by parents and close friend, Glenn Thompson.  Survived by sister, Michelle Poydence (Ivan Hamilton), Clymer; brother, James Hollewa (Annette Krull) Hastings; nephews, Derek Poydence (Rachel Andrascik) Palm Bay, FL; and Kyle Ackerson (Haley Frazee), Derry; and great-niece and nephews, Genevieve, Christian and Roman.  Also survived by friend, Todd Miller.  John was a US Army Veteran and worked as a Registered Nurse. Family and friends will be received Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m.  Pastor Greg McDonald officiating.  Military honors by local veteran’s organizations.
