John P. Knapik

KNAPIK, JOHN P., 62, Nicktown, passed away August 1, 2023, at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  Born June 24, 1961, in Spangler, the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Stratton) Knapik.  Survived by daughter, Leann Knapik, Lucernemines; son, John (Kayla) Knapik, Cherry Tree; and grandchildren, Aurora Knapik, Lyric Singer, and Johnny Knapik.  Brother of William (Bev) Knapik, Emeigh; Kimberly (Kenneth) Gray, Northern Cambria; Thomas (Michele) Knapik, Pen Argyl; and Robert Knapik, Northern Cambria.  Employed as a Project Manager at Lobar Incorporated.  John enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and canning.  Family was always important to him, and he especially enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren.  A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at noon, Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria.  Father Thaddeus Rettger, OSB officiating.  Please join us at this casual, “come as you are” celebration to honor John’s life and memory.
