John T. Sherry

SHERRY, JOHN T., 79, Northern Cambria, passed away November 4, 2021, at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  Born June 23, 1942, in Nicktown, the son of Gerald and Helen (Lantz) Sherry.  Preceded in death by parents and brother, James Sherry.  Survived by loving wife of 58 years, Bonnie (Arotin) Sherry; children, John (Kim) Sherry, Manassas, VA; Sandra (Gary) Eagler, Northern Cambria; Dan Sherry, St. Benedict; grandchildren, Mandy, Laura, Lindsay, Christen, Courtney, Tia and Alex; and great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Matthew, Noelle, Miles and Lilith.  Also survived by siblings, Bill Sherry, OH; Bob Sherry, Dolores Zernick, Janet Kudlawiec, Geraldine Nagle, Gary Sherry, Ron Sherry, and Larry Sherry, all of Nicktown. Owner/Operator of Sherry Appliance in Northern Cambria.  Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.  Member of Emeigh Sportsman’s Club, Spangler VFW and Slovak Club.  Family and friends will be received from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 9.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Prince of Peace Church.  Fr. Mark Groeger officiating.  Committal, North Barnesboro Cemetery.
