John Thurman Sr. Obituary

John Thurman Sr., 71, St. Benedict, passed away September 24, 2021, at home. Born March 17, 1950, in Spangler, the son of Robert and Mary (Perrone) Thurman. Preceded in death by parents; and companion, Andrea Shrenkle. Survived by sons, John Thurman Jr. (Bobbie), Patton; and Stephen (Dianne) Thurman, Loretto. Brother of Janice Kichler, Johnstown; Carol Thomas, St. Boniface; and Robert (Kelly) Thurman, Florida. John is also survived by his faithful grand-dog, “Graci” and best friend, Joan Shrenkle. Formerly employed by the West Carroll Twp. Water Authority, Barnes & Tucker, and Tanoma Mines. John was well known as a skilled mechanic and the owner of T.R.S. mechanic shop. He was an avid collector of Lionel Trains and enjoyed spending his free time riding his motorcycles. No viewing or visitation at the request of John. Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria in charge of arrangements.
