John M. Weaver

WEAVER, JOHN M., 78, Northern Cambria, passed away October 6, 2025, at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, Hollidaysburg.  Born September 30, 1947, in Punxsutawney, the son of John S. “Pete” and Mary (O’Leary) Weaver.  Preceded in death by parents; an infant brother, James; brothers, Joseph and Paul Weaver; sister, MaryAnne Weaver; and sister-in-law, Carole Weaver.  Survived by loving wife of 48 years, Carol S. (Westover) Weaver; son, Daniel Weaver, Pittsburgh, PA; and daughter, Elizabeth Weaver-Shonnie, and husband Brandon Shonnie, Fort Defiance, AZ; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  Brother of Thomas Weaver and Robert (Rose) Weaver, both of MI.  US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.  John was a graduate of Cambria County Area Community College with a degree in Business Management and employed as an Insurance Salesman with Knights of Columbus Insurance.  Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 2277, and American Legion Post 0945, Wormleysburg, PA.  Family and friends will be received at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc. Northern Cambria on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 4 – 6 p.m.  Military honors will begin at 5:45 p.m. followed by funeral service at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Fred Catchpole officiating.
