Joseph J. Corio Sr.

CORIO, JOSEPH JOHN SR., 73, Cherry Tree, passed away October 29, 2025, at home.  Born March 20, 1952, in Spangler, son of Frank and Goldie (Wagner) Corio.  Preceded in death by parents; sister, Mary Kay Gontero; sons-in-law, Stephen Luka and Steven Bearer.  Survived by loving companion of many years, Shirley Kinney; daughter, Holly Luka; son, Joseph (Amber) Corio Jr., both of Northern Cambria; Heather Bearer, Nicktown, Amber (Bob) Novella, and Megan (Ryan) Bursky, both of Northern Cambria; twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren with two more expected soon.  Brother of Barbara Spanella, Frank “Dubie” Corio, and Lori Rajnish.  Formerly employed by Greenwich Collieries.  Joe enjoyed woodworking in his free time.  He was an avid outdoorsman who hunted all types of game and had a passion for hunting rattlesnakes.  Honoring his request, all services will be private for the Corio family.   Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc.
