SABO, JOSEPH R., M.D., 76, Hastings, passed away April 4, 2023. Born June 10, 1946, in Spangler, the son of John Robert and Mary (Rehovich) Sabo. Preceded in death by parents; brother, John Robert Sabo; and sister, Regina Sabo Charney. Survived by loving wife, Rumy (Manzanares) Sabo, Hastings; children, Shon Sabo, Northern Cambria; Erick Jennings, Cayman Islands; Mia and Misty Sabo, both at home; and grandson, Joey Sabo. Brother of Rosalie Sabo Smith, Hastings; and Shirley Sabo Marpman, Northern Cambria. Joe was a well-known local family physician who dedicated his life and career to serving the needs of our local area. He was passionate in his mission to improve their lives, working alongside physicians and members of the local medical community for whom he had great respect and admiration. He will be greatly missed by all that loved him and knew him. Family and friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Pastor Laura McCombie officiating.
