Weber, Joseph A., 71, Carrolltown, passed away August 16, 2024, at home. Born June 15, 1953, in Spangler. Son of the late LeRoy and Elda (Miller) Weber. Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Peggy (Sawyer) Weber, Carrolltown; daughters, Jen, wife of Adam Terza, Carrolltown; Danielle, wife of Alan Peters, Freeport, PA; Michele, wife of Luke Schirf, Patton, and grandchildren, Izzy Terza, Abby Terza, Blake Schirf, and Macy Schirf. Brother of Anne Marie (Don) Farabaugh, Carrolltown. Joseph was an Army Veteran who was stationed in Korea and served as Military Police. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown; Carrolltown American Legion Post 506; Honor Guard member; Carrolltown Rod and Gun Club; and the Rembrandt Club, St. Benedict. He was employed by Greenwich Collieries Mine where he also served on the Mine Rescue Team and then retired as a SGT at SCI Pine Grove Prison. While at Pine Grove, Joe served on the CERT (correctional emergency response team). Joe also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He had a special knack for gardening and was known by many for his Corio tomatoes. He especially enjoyed spending time with friends and family. A special thanks to Dr. Risa Wong, his oncologist. Family and friends will be received from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, and from 9:00 until time of funeral mass at 9:45 a.m., Monday, in the Boniface Wimmer Room followed by the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Church.
