HANDLON, JOYCE (CAMPBELL) LOCKARD, 94, Cherry Tree, passed away April 20, 2021, at UPMC Altoona Hospital. Born January 30, 1927, in Nanty Glo, the last surviving member of the Samuel and Mame (Wagner) Campbell family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, William George Lockard; second husband, Phillip Handlon; son, Terry Richard Lockard; brothers, Roy, Irvin “Dutch”, William “Bill”, Milton, Milan, Dale, Dean and Harry Campbell; and sisters, Alice Lee, Martha Rorabaugh, Evelyn Hill, Zeitha Hammer, Doris Oaks and Elnora Dunlap. In their large family, Joyce was proud to be the only child to graduate high school, an alum of Cherry Tree High School. Survived by daughters, Judith “Judy” Morgan, Port Matilda; Bonita “Bonny” (Carl) Hunt, Elmora; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Joyce was a wonderful mother and a “Proud grandmother of five generations”. Joyce adored her Chihuahuas, “Niki & Chici” who were her devoted companions. She enjoyed a full life and had many hobbies and interests including, a love of bowling for more than 40 years, playing cards, decorating for holidays and seasons both inside and outside her home, she had a green thumb, enjoyed gardening, and had an interest in cars. Always current on fashion, Joyce enjoyed looking her best wherever she went. She traveled whenever she could and enjoyed spending the winters in Florida. Friends will be received Saturday, April 24, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Committal, Uniontown Cemetery.
