KUSKOSKI, KATHRYN MAE, 67, Elmora, was called home to heaven, July 22, 2023, where she was reunited with her beloved son, Joshua, her mother and many friends and family. She was born October 27, 1955, in Williamsport, the daughter of Carl and Anna Mary (Johnson) Quist. Preceded in death by parents; son, Joshua Dillon; brother, Wayne Quist; and sister, Carla Sutton. Survived by her loving husband of 35 years, John Kuskoski; sons, Jason (Jennifer) Dillon, St. Petersburg, FL; and Eric Kuskoski, Birdsboro, PA. She adored being a grandmother to granddaughter, Ashley; and grandsons, Ben and Max. Sister of Barbara Golgosky, Ebensburg; Joseph (Robin) Quist and Theodore Quist, both of Hastings; Janice (Kevin) Baird, Blairsville; Mary Blake, Patton; and Melissa (Eric) Leaper, Waynesboro. Also survived by sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Charlene Quist, and Mary Ellen & Jim Malloy. Formerly employed by Carol Ann Fashions where she enjoyed using her skills a gifted seamstress. She later continued her education and was a graduate of Mount Aloysius College with a bachelor’s in education. She thoroughly loved her students and inspired them with her love of learning. She attained five specialized certificates in different areas of teaching and worked in five school districts during her career. She also served as an assistant coach for Cambria Heights Cross Country teams for over 20 years. She had a strong faith in the Lord and was a member of the Methodist Church of Bakerton where she eagerly shared that love with children as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher. In her free time, she was passionate about travel and became quite a “globe trotter” with trips to explore beaches as her favorite destination. She enjoyed gardening, was an excellent seamstress, fabulous cook and enjoyed going to trivia each Wednesday. Kathy loved fitness and recreation including running, walking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and cross country skiing. Above all else, she was happiest with her family, just being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed. Family and friends will be received from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, at The Methodist Church of Bakerton. Pastor Ashley Weyant officiating. Interment church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to defray uncovered medical expenses to the family.
