KIRKPATRICK, LAWRENCE G., 78, Bel Air, MD, formerly of Northern Cambria, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2024, surrounded by his family. Born January 31, 1946, in Spangler, the son of Cletus and Frances Ruth (Wayne) Kirkpatrick. Preceded in death by parents; infant twin daughters; and siblings, Mary Fenello, Barbara Fenchak, James Kirkpatrick, Fr. Cletus Kirkpatrick, and Leo Wayne Kirkpatrick. Survived by children, Jason Kirkpatrick, Columbia, SC; Leanne (Tim) Fitzpatrick, Bel Air, MD; Michael Kirkpatrick, Fayetteville, NC; and grandchildren, Nathan, Korben, Nick, and Quinn. Also survived by sisters, Bernadette Byrne, Kathy Verchick, Ruth Ann Johnson, and brother, Jack (Nancy) Kirkpatrick. Known as “Jerry” or “Larry”, he loved classic cars, road trips, collecting coins, and enjoying sweet treats. He was also very active in his church. He was happiest surrounded by his family and friends. He looked forward each year to his annual summer trip with his grandson, Nathan, from North Carolina to Pennsylvania to visit with family, but those trips ended when Jerry had a stroke in 2018. Jerry spent the last five years living comfortably in the home of his daughter and son-in-law and their children. He took great pleasure in spoiling the grandchildren with M&Ms, peppermint patties, and other sweet treats. Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria in charge of arrangements.
