Leah J. (Price) Anico

ANICO, LEAH J., 78, Hastings, passed away at home on June 10, 2024, surrounded by her family.  Born March 15, 1946, in Hastings, the daughter of Robert C. and Madelyn (Yeager) Price.  Preceded in death by parents; loving husband of 54 years, Roland F. Anico; daughter, Lisa Bender, grandson, Jeremy McIntosh; and these siblings, Gene, Jack, Bobbie, Roy, Neil, Richard, and Jimmy Price and Ellen Santese.  Survived by children, Lee Ann (Carl) Gregory, England; Roland A. (Beverly) Anico, Hastings; Son-in-law, Richard Bender; grandchildren, Jon, Jake, Morgan, and Matthew Bender, Anthony (Tally) McIntosh, Faith (Tom) McIntosh, Tony (Rashell) Anico, and “My Special Granddaughter, Clarrisa J. Anico”.  Also 7 great-grandchidren and another great-granddaughter “Marlee” due in August that Leah was so excited about.  Sister of Don (Nancy), Paul (Grace), and Jerome (Pat) Price, Betty (Ron) Puleo, sisters-in-law Jeannie and Virginia Price.  Leah loved her dog Rudy who was a faithful companion.  Through the years, she was a foster parent to numerous children.  Above all she was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished time with her family.  She will be deeply missed.  An active member of Hastings Methodist Church where she served on the church council.  She loved her church family and prayed for many as part of the prayer chain.  The family wishes to extend special thanks to her friend Patty Hilyer for her care and assistance during her illness.  Family and friends will be received from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 14.  Rev. Ashley Weyant officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery, Hastings.
