Leona H. (Homidy) Farino

FARINO, LEONA H., 99, Northern Cambria, passed away October 6, 2021, at Cambridge Place of Ebensburg.  Born August 22, 1922, in Marsteller, the last surviving member of the of Andrew and Mary (Domonic) Homidy family.  Preceded in death by parents; loving husband, Mario Farino, who died in 1993; brothers, John, Andrew, Paul, George, Justin, Theodore, Edward, Charles Homady; and sisters, Mary Dolansky, Dorothy Polinsky, Pauline Homady and Gertrude Hansen.  Survived by her daughter, Linda, wife of Robert Kehoe, Houston, TX; and granddaughter, Lea Rhoden, wife of Juan J. Tovar.   Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.  Honoring Leona’s request, there will be no public viewing.  Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass at Prince of Peace Chapel on October 22, 2021, at 10:00 a.m.  Fr. Mark Groeger, officiating.  Committal, McDowell Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leona’s memory to Prince of Peace Catholic Church.  Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc, Northern Cambria in charge of arrangements.
