Leroy J. Cence Jr.

CENCE, LEROY J. JR., 89, Westover, passed away November 29, 2025, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.  Born August 25, 1936, in St. Boniface, the son of Leroy Sr. and Syvilla (Eckenrode) Cence.  Preceded in death by parents; brothers, William, Earl, James, Richard, Patrick, Raymond and Edward Cence; sisters, Margaret Yeager, Sis Weakland, Jean Burkhart, June Skitka, and Georgia Fife.  Survived by loving wife of 63 years, Carole A. (Bell) Cence; son, Gregory Cence, Galena, OH; daughter, Shari Lee, wife of Glenn Brown, Indiana; grandchildren, Benjamin and Christian Brown, and Savannah Cence.  Brother of Carol Dotts, Carrolltown; and Joyce Dedea, Chicago.  Retired mine mechanic from Beth Energy Mine 33 and a proud U.S. Air Force veteran..  Member of Calvary Evangelical Church, Cherry Tree and the Masonic Lodge.  Family and friends will be received from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc. Northern Cambria, where services will be held at 6:00 p.m.  Pastor Michael Knepp officiating.  Committal, Westover Baptist Cemetery.
