Linda Fletcher Obituary

FLETCHER, LINDA NADINE., 70, Coalport, passed away April 4, 2025, at UPMC Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a courageous battle with two rare forms of cancer.  Born August 15, 1954, in Coalport, the beloved daughter of the late Angelo and Nadine (Nelving) Vigne.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life, Steven Gregory Fletcher, who died April 5, 2020; brother-in-law, Jeff Parks; and niece, Nicole Parks.  Survived by son, Patrick Mackin and wife Angie, Flinton; and daughter, Jennifer Adkins and husband Jeremy, West Virginia.  She was lovingly called  “Nonni” by her cherished grandchildren, Harmony, Haley, Dylan, and Lucy, and great-grandson, Kai.  Linda will be missed by her brother, Michael Vigne, and wife Suzi and their children, Shawn (Ashley) Vigne, Ryan (Molly) Vigne, and Rachel (Luis) Santiago; sisters, Joan Parks, and her children, Jeffrey (Ciara) Parks and Amanda (Matt) McMurray; and Martha “Marty” Vigne, her youngest sister affectionately known as “TT”; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.   Linda was a 1976 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Math Education.  She was a passionate educator and mathematician who inspired countless students during her teaching career, first at the School of the Arts in Palm Beach County, Florida and later at Curwensville High School.  As a devoted Catholic, Linda’s faith was a cornerstone of her life.  She loved cooking, traveling, and treasured every moment spent with her family and grandbabies—creating memories full of laughter, warmth, and love.  Honoring her wishes, there will be no public viewing.  Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass which will be celebrated at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025.   Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc. Northern Cambria in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory be made to St. Basil the Great Catholic Church.  Linda’s legacy of love, strength, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
