Lois J. (East) Baker

BAKER, LOIS J., 86, Hastings, passed away May 8, 2021.  Born May 4, 1935, in Somerset County, daughter of the late Charles and Sara Margaret (Marsh) East.   She married Carl “Herk” Baker on September 22, 1956.  She was preceded in death by her husband, on February 10, 2004; son, Gary Baker; granddaughter, Alexis Baker; and brothers, Charles and Howard East.  Survived by daughter, Rebecca Kirkpatrick (Nick Ninosky), Hastings; and sons, Mark (Tammy) Baker, Amherst, VA; Jeffrey Baker, Hastings; and Carl Baker, Wildwood, FL; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  Also survived by a sister, Bonnie East.  Member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings.  Member of Hastings Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and Hastings VFW Ladies Auxiliary.  Lois loved the outdoors and time spent camping. She enjoyed many years serving as a campground hostess at Prince Gallitzin State Park where she met many life-long friends.  Friends will be received from noon until time of memorial mass at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021, at St. Bernard Catholic Church.  Fr.
