PATTERSON, LOIS J., 67, Northern Cambria, passed away June 21, 2022, at home. Born July 23, 1954, in Spangler, the daughter of Ivan and Naomi (McDonald) Westover. Preceded in death by parents; step-father, Bede Miller; step-mother, Dorothy Westover; brother, Fred Westover, great-grandson, Bentley Wetzel; and son-in-law, Roy Davis Jr. Survived by loving husband of 48 years, John Patterson; sons, Gregg (Jennifer) Patterson, Alverda; Matthew Patterson (Julie Markovich), Northern Cambria; and daughter, Amy Davis, Northern Cambria; 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings, Nancy Davis, Edward Westover, Ernest Westover, Joann Boring, Carol Gow, Bettie Davis, Francis Westover, and Annette Weiland. Member of Goodridge Church of God, where Lois joyfully sang in the church choir. Lois was a caring person by nature and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Raising her family with John was her focus and she cherished her roles of wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a kind and loving heart and lived a life of selfless service to her family and others. She opened her home and her heart, without question, to many people who needed a place to stay throughout the years; and this taught her children and grandchildren how to love unconditionally. When she became ill these values never slowed—she never complained and still focused on the needs of her family and friends. She was a true inspiration of how to live as Jesus wants us to. She will be deeply missed. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service which will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday July 10, 2022, at Goodridge Church of God. Pastor Greg McDonald officiating. Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc. Northern Cambria is assisting the Patterson Family.
