CROYLE, LUCILLE, 92, Alverda, passed away April 17, 2025, at home. Born March 19, 1933, in Nicktown, the daughter of Merton and Madeline (McAnulty) Morris. Preceded in death by parents; loving husband, Donald Croyle, who died in 2001; son, Don Croyle; infant brothers, James & Harold; brothers, Phillip, Richard, and Thomas Morris; and sisters, Margaret Morris, Beverly Morley, and LaRue Terloin. Survived by son, James (Connie) Morris, Alverda; daughters, Helen (Bill) Bassett, Alverda and Linda (Don) Stiteler, Penn Run; grandchildren, Stephanie (Joe) Gibson, Kelly (Justin) Cooper, Billy Bassett, Abby Bassett (fiancé Nick Shoemaker), Allison Stiteler and Sarah Stiteler. Also survived by siblings, Charles Morris and Virginia Valenti; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Morris. Lucille worked many years as a seamstress for Van Heusen Shirt Factory. She was happiest spending time with her family, she loved being the family babysitter, quilting, and in her free time she enjoyed playing bingo. Family and friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 21, 2025, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Pastor Greg McDonald officiating. A private interment will be in McDowell Cemetery. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Ruby Karlinsey for the excellent care she provided to their mother.
