MOORE, MARSHALL C. SR., 78, Hastings, passed away January 11, 2026, at home. Born December 17, 1947, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Edgar and Fredella (Rankin) Moore. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Vernon Alcanna. Survived by loving wife of 54 years, Leona (Griffiths), Hastings; sons, Marshall Moore Jr., Hastings; and Charles (Violet) Moore Sr., Nanty Glo; grandchildren, Charles Jr., Jason, Brett, Nicole, Brittney, Cheyanna, Della Jane, and Johnathan. Brother of, Howard Jay Moore, Lamar, PA; and sister, Eunice (Ron) Loy, Clifton Park, N.Y. Also survived by several nephews. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, serving from 1968 to 1970, and later continued his service with the Tyrone Army National Guard. Marshall retired from Penn State as a landscaper and later from Tri-County Transportation where he worked as a bus driver for 24 years. One of Marshall’s greatest highlights of his recent years was attending his grandson’s boot camp graduation at Parris Island, South Carolina, visiting the National Museum of the Air Force in Ohio twice, and the Noah’s Arc Encounter in Kentucky all made possible by and with Ryan Lambardo who has become family. Family and friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m., Friday, January 16, 2026, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Military Honors will be held at 4:00 p.m. Gordon Wells and Allen Fox, officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery, Hastings.
