Mary M. (Byrne) Bennett

BENNETT, MARY MARGARET, 81, Northern Cambria, passed away November 2, 2021.  Born September 26, 1940, in Nicktown, the daughter of Herman and Teresa (Koenig) Byrne.  Preceded in death by parents; loving husband, Robert J. Bennett, who died February 24, 1997; son, David Bennett; brothers, Michael and Robert Byrne; and sister, Patricia Little.  Survived by children, Catherine (August) Gatto, Summerhill; Deborah Laney, Northern Cambria; William (Laurie) Bennett, VA; Teresa (Jesse) Boring, Ebensburg; and daughter-in-law, Crystal Bennett, NY.  27 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.  Also survived by siblings, Jane McDonald, PA James Byrne, Ohio and Carol Shoemaker, Northern Cambria.   Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Northern Cambria.  Active member of Northern Cambria Senior Citizens Center, where she enjoyed many great times with numerous friends playing cinch.  Her infectious laughter and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  Family and friends will be received 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. Saturday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where a funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m.  Fr. Mark Groeger officiating.  Committal, with her husband in Arlington National Cemetery.
