Mary E. (Bogus) Miller

MILLER, MARY E., 99, St. Benedict, passed away August 5, 2022.  Born February 11, 1923, in Clover Run, PA, the daughter of Stanley and Victoria (Slavicsky) Bogus.  Preceded in death by parents; loving husband, Basil U. Miller Sr., who died in 1997; brothers, James, John, Edward, Stanley and Bernard Bogus; and sisters, Helen Quinn, Bernice Terrizzi and Florence Minarish.  Survived by son, Basil U. Miller Jr., St. Benedict; sister-in-law, Selene Loftus, Pittsburgh; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.   Formerly employed in the housekeeping department of Miners Hospital.  Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown.  She devoted her life to being a wife and mother, her husband and son were her pride and joy.  She was an active person, enjoyed flower gardening and baking.  She was an avid bowler throughout her life and was still bowling at age 86.  She was very proud of her many trophies, and plaques that she won.  In her later years she kept busy doing word search puzzles.  Family and friends will be received Thursday, August 11, 2022, at St. Benedict Catholic Church from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m.  Funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m.  Fr. Jeremiah Lange, OSB, PhD officiating.  Committal, St. Benedict Cemetery.  Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria in charge of arrangements.
