Mary E. (Dunchak) Phillips

PHILLIPS, MARY E., 87, Northern Cambria, passed away April 16, 2023.  Born May 17, 1935, in Spangler, the daughter of John and Josephine (Potonic) Dunchak.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Steve Phillips, who died March 23, 2020; and brothers, John “Jack”, Bob, Joe, and Pat Dunchak.  Survived by children, Joni (Tom) Milchak, Hastings; David (Carol) Phillips, Nicktown; Susan (Pat) Eckenrode and Robert Phillips, both of Northern Cambria; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  Retired from Miners Hospital working 33 years as a registered nurse.  Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church where she was a member of the choir.  Mary enjoyed spending time as a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Food Pantry and socializing with her friends at Silver Sneakers.  Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Saturday, April 22, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.  Fr.
