Michael "Mick" S. Kovall

Michael Kovall “Mick” a devoted husband, loving father and proud grandfather, was accepted into the arms of our Lord and Savior on February 18, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Born on October 5, 1942, in Elmora, PA, the son of Paul and Anna (Paronish) Koval.  Preceeded in death by parents; daughter, Anna Marie Kovall; and sister Pauline Pulis. Survived by loving wife of 60 years, Alberta (Brawley) Kovall; son, Michael Kovall, and partner Justine, Maryland; daughters, Michele (Matthew) Raptosh, Port Matilda; Melissa (Anthony) Wess, Bellefonte; and grandchildren, Nikolai and Luca Kovall, Makayla, Max and Maddox Raptosh, Gabriel and Grayson Wess.  Brother of Paul (Nancy) Koval, Nicktown.  Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. Mick was a skilled, self-taught carpenter who built homes and furniture for his friends, family and local community. With calloused hands and a heart full of love, he leaves behind a legacy of laughter, wisdom and kindness.  Mick loved spending time with his family.  He was most proud of his children and his grandchildren, who brought him endless amounts of joy.  His wisdom, humor and love will live on in them, a lasting testament to the incredible man he was.  Friends and family will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm, Monday, February 24, 2025, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown.  Father Michael Gabler, OSB, officiating.  Committal, St. Benedict Cemetery.
