SMITH, MILLIE, 90, Indiana, passed away November 4, 2023, at Lynn Haven Personal Care Center, Black Lick. Born November 10, 1932, in Green Twp., the last surviving member of the Grant and Inda (Griffith) Smith family. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, George, Fred, Herbert, Siviter and Ernest Smith; and sister, Ora Elizabeth “Betty” Pennington. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Formerly employed by Montgomery Ward. Member of the Church of God, Millie was strong in her faith, reading the bible every day—the LARGE Print edition as she got older. She would often be heard saying “I need something to do.” She liked writing letters and cards to people to keep in touch. She enjoyed socializing with friends at the Senior Center, playing bingo, and taking walks. She had a family member who played professional baseball and she made sure to watch all the Pirates baseball games. Breakfast was her favorite meal of the day and Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She led a full and busy life. There will be no visitation or services. Interment Burnside Cemetery.
