Monica J. (Bogus) Miller

MILLER, MONICA J., “Sandy”, 85, Northern Cambria, passed away February 13, 2025, at home.  Born May 24, 1939, in St. Benedict, the daughter of Stanley and Elizabeth (Wiewiora) Bogus.  Preceded in death by parents and husband, Richard Miller, who died May 25, 2023.  Survived by sons, Todd (Brenda) Miller, Northern Cambria; and Scott (Gina) Miller, Altoona. Also survived by her sister, Barrie Brancato, Seneca, PA.   Member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Nicktown.  Monica was a graduate of Mount Aloysius College and was employed as a Medical Lab Technician at Miners Hospital for more than 40 years.  She was also an avid reader and loved animals.  Family and friends will be received from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2025, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where Fr. Jeremiah Lange, OSB, PhD will conduct a funeral service at 1:00 p.m.  Committal, St. Nicholas Cemetery.  The Miller family wishes to extend a special thanks to 1 Laurel Highlands Hospice services as well as her home caregivers Barb and Kim for the kind and compassionate care they provided during her illness.
