CARPINELLO, NICHOLAS, 93, Hastings, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025. Born June 12, 1932, in Susquehanna Twp., son of the late Nicholas and Agnes (Woodley) Carpinello. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred (Becker), who died June 23, 2023; brothers, Vincent and Henry Carpinello; and sister, Marie Lieb. Survived by daughter, Terry Homady, Ebensburg; son, Glenn (Deb) Carpinello, Hastings; grandchildren, Jeff (Jessica) Homady, Erin (Jason) Au, Nicole (Jason) Helman, Brent (Angie) Carpinello; great-grandchildren, Isaac (Haley), Jimmy, Kcira, Mia, Arla, Ben, Joey, Emma, Nicholas and Nate; and great-great-granddaughter, Rein. Also survived by sister, Barbara (Les) Kline, sister-in-law, Ruth Becker, and son-in-law, Den Homady. Family was always first in Nick’s life, and he especially loved when everyone came together to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and special occasions. His favorite pastime was spending time at his camp in Potter County, fishing, playing cards and relaxing with family and friends. He was an avid hunter and expert bowler. With a strong work ethic, he was a self-made man, moved up the ranks in his mining career to become a mine foreman at Bethlehem Mine 33, built his own house and assisted with numerous construction projects for his kids and grandkids. He was generous with his time and always willing to help. Family and friends will be received from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. A viewing will be held at St. Bernard Church on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with funeral mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment, St. Bernard Cemetery. Nick was loved by many and his passing will leave a great void for all who loved him; but he missed Mildred, the love of his life, his soulmate, and best friend. They shared 70 years of married life, and it was fitting that he passed on what would have been their 73rd wedding anniversary, as they are now reunited.
