Patricia A. (Sasway) Griffiths

GRIFFITHS, PATRICIA A., 79, Hastings, passed away May 20, 2024, at home.  Born July 1, 1944, the daughter of Paul R. and Felicia (Finney) Sasway.  Preceded in death by parents; loving husband, James E. Griffiths, who died June 7, 2003; and brothers, Paul John and Stephen Sasway.  Survived by sons, James E. Griffiths Jr. (Dr. Mary Petrunyak), Cherry Tree; Michael P. (Apple) Griffiths Cherry Tree; Kevin P. Griffiths, Hastings; and grandchildren, Dr. Joshua Griffiths, Elizabeth (Jonathan) Pechunka, Joseph Griffiths, and Anna Griffiths.  Sister of Flecia Leamer, Hastings.  Also survived by long-time companion, Dallas Leamer.  Patty retired from Indiana Hospital after working more than twenty years as an LPN.  Member of Emeigh Methodist Church.  In her free time, she enjoyed trips to the casinos, gardening, taking long walks, and going to the movies. In her younger years she enjoyed riding horses and riding motorcycles.  She was a car enthusiast and with Dallas she spent many days going on long drives and attending car shows.  Above all she was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished time with her family.  She will be deeply missed.  Family and friends will be received at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria from 2 – 4 and 6 - 9 p.m. Friday, May 24, where a prayer service will be held in the evening with Rev. Donald Carpenter; and from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, lay minister, Cheryl Lutch officiating.  Committal, St. Patrick Cemetery.
