Patricia A. Pawliske

PAWLISKE, PATRICIA A., 82, Johnstown, passed away April 19, 2026.  Born May 18, 1943, in Spangler, daughter of the late Francis and Helen (Mandrick) Pawliske. Survived by sister, Gloria, wife of Robert Slavik, Northern Cambria; niece, Francine Slavik Fleming and husband Charles “Chuck” and nephew, Robert F. Slavik, and wife Loretta “Lori”.  Patricia was a graduate of Cambria Rowe Business School and formerly worked as a legal secretary for local attorneys for several years before relocating to Johnstown.  She then worked for the U.S. Postal Service.  She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church.  Patricia also had a passion to help others.  She struggled with alcoholism before joining AA and turning her life around.  She proudly achieved her 45-year medal honoring her choice to follow AA’s path to peace, purpose and sobriety. Through this journey she became a drug and alcohol counselor to many and helped others change their lives.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 30, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown.  Fr. Michael Gabler, OSB, celebrant.  Interment, St. Joseph Cemetery.  Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc. Northern Cambria, in charge of arrangements.
