Patricia L. (Lechene) Sever

SEVER, PATRICIA (Lechene), 85, Patton, passed away May 23, 2021, at home.  Born September 12, 1935, in St. Lawrence, the daughter of James and Martha (Legros) Lechene.  Preceded in death by parents; loving husband, Robert Sever, for whom she was caregiver for ten years before he passed in 2012; daughter, Michelle Sever Romagna; infant sister, Katherine; brother, Joseph; daughter-in-law, Pam Sever; stepfather, Octave Dellysse;  infant son, Sean Patrick Sever; brothers, Arthur, Francis, James, Joseph and Frederick; and sisters, Martha Balock, Katherine Sodmont, Janette Batdorf, Virginia Vasil and Veronica Gregory.  She is survived by a sister, Vivian Anstead; children, Teresa (James) Mitasky, Northern Cambria; Lawrence Sever, Patton; Edward Sever, La Jose; and Denise (Francis) Bailey, Northern Cambria.  Patricia is survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  Retired from Cambria Heights High School as a custodian after 30 years of service.  She volunteered many years at Queen of Peace church as a lector and choir member.  Patricia enjoyed volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul clothing and food distribution stores and was a member of the Legion of Mary.  A member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown.  She was devoted to her family, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She had great faith and never gave up but wasn’t quite sure why God took her beloved husband and daughter and left her here.  Her love of cooking kept the family together and around the table every Sunday for a home cooked meal.  Family and friends will be received from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria.  Following a viewing in the St. Boniface Wimmer room beginning at 10:00 a.m., Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Benedict Church, Carrolltown.  Fr. Jude Brady officiating.  Committal, St. Boniface Cemetery.  The family wishes to thank her caregivers for their wonderful care and companionship.
