Paul F. Artley

ARTLEY, PAUL F., 81, Northern Cambria, passed away September 6, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.  Born December 22, 1942, in Spangler, the son of the late Roy B. and Marvel A. (Boyle) Artley.  Survived by loving wife of 59 years, Kathie (McKee) Artley; children, Patricia Artley, Charleston, SC; Kimberly (John) Brindle, Harrisburg; Jeffrey (Krista) Artley, Harrisburg; Rick (Brenda) Artley, Blairsville; Dana (Matt) Skokowski, Mechanicsburg; grandchildren, Lauren Hudson, Brandon Light and Morgan Holloway; Brooke Smith and Joey Rico, Payton and Sara Artley; Zachary, Hannah, Haileigh and Tyler Artley; Alexa, Nick, and Adyson Skokowski; and great-grandchildren, Rodney, Leo, and Rome.   Also survived by sisters, Diane Bublinec, Sheffield Lake, OH and Carolyn Galiczynski, Northern Cambria.  Paul was a dedicated teacher and coach who retired after 37 years in public education, 35 of which were served in the Northern Cambria School District.  His love of the career and dedication to students drew him to return to the classroom as a substitute and coach for 23 additional years.  He had a profound impact on many lives.  A proud member of P.S.E.A.-Retired.  Member of St. John’s Methodist Church.  Family was foremost in his life, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he was happiest surrounded by his family and when he and Kathie were sharing in the activities of the grandchildren.  Family and friends will be received from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 9, 2024, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 10.  Pastor Darlene Wiewiora officiating.  Committal, North Barnesboro Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul’s memory to the Northern Cambria Public Library.
