Paul J. Balough

BALOUGH, PAUL J., 84, Ebensburg, passed away February 9, 2025, at home.  Born June 13, 1940, in Johnstown, son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Stephien) Balough.  Survived by loving wife of 61 years, Joan (Lieb) Balough; sons, Kenneth (Sandra) Balough, Altoona; Brian Balough, Natick, MA; daughters, Valorie (Robert) Mrosky, Gettysburg; and Pamela (Stephen) Sral, Ebensburg. He was lovingly known as “Pappy” to Anita Sergent, Bob Mrosky, Amanda Balough, Jenny Miller, Benjamin Balough, Sarah Balough, Jessica Zovinka, Rebecca Balough, and Cody Sral; and “Great-Pa” to Quinn Miller.  Also survived by sister, JoAnn Sukenik, Parma, Ohio.  Member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg.  Paul enjoyed a long career as an architect and filled his free time working with his hands and many tools as a woodworker.   Above all he was a man of strong faith and devotion to family.  Friends and family are invited to a funeral service which will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2025, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, Fr. Brian Warchola officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests doing “A Random Act of Kindness” to honor Paul’s memory.
