Paul J. Bills

BILLS, PAUL J., 71, Hastings, passed away July 13, 2023, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.   Born May 27, 1952, in Spangler, the son of Paul and Mary (Dorko) Bills.  Preceded in death by parents.  Survived by brother, Gerald Bills and wife, Linda (McMackin), Hastings; niece, Nicole Bills (Ryan Burkett); nephew, Marty Bills and wife, Kimmy (Moidel); great niece and great nephew, Gracie and Max Bills, and numerous cousins.  He is also survived by Denny, a fellow prankster.  After graduating from Bishop Carroll High School, Paul worked many years at Leiden’s Nursery in Patton.   He then became the custodian of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Hastings where he enjoyed working around the church and grounds.   Paul had a kind nature and liked to say a prayer for family and friends he encountered.  He enjoyed the company of his many neighbors in town and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.   Family and friends will be received at St. Bernard Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, beginning at 10:00 a.m.  with funeral mass to follow at 11:00 a.m.  Fr. Thaddeus Rettger, OSB celebrant.  Committal, St. Bernard Cemetery.  Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria in charge of arrangements.
