Paul W. Stafford

STAFFORD, PAUL W., 76, Northern Cambria, passed away October 9, 2024. Born December 5, 1947, in Cresson, the son of Robert and Alfreta (Adams) Stafford.  Preceded in death by parents and loving wife, Joan (Zaliznock) Stafford, who died June 28, 2020.  Survived by children, Tanya (Rob) Hoffman, Aurora, CO; sons, Randy (Donna) Stafford, Hastings; Rodney (Tracy) Stafford, Northern Cambria; and grandchildren, Alyssa, Kyle, Makala, Kiersten, Derek, Hanah, and Madison. Brother of Darlene (Donald) Miller and Terry “Zeb” (Marianna) Stafford.  US Navy Veteran serving aboard on the USS Constellation, USS Forrestall and the USS Yosemite during the Vietnam War and member of Spangler VFW Post 7503. Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.  Formerly employed as a coal miner for Greenwich Mines.  Retired from the maintenance department of Northern Cambria School District.  In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and spending time with his family and grandchildren.   Family and friends will be received from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m., Sunday, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc. Northern Cambria. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Prince of Peace Church, Fr. Mark Groeger, celebrant. Committal, Mt. Carmel Cemetery.  Military honors by local veteran organizations.
