Pearl A. (Sawtelle) Jones

JONES, PEARL A., 96, Gipsy, passed away February 11, 2026, at Rebekah Manor, Northern Cambria.  Born February 22, 1929, in Coalport, the daughter of Charles and Ella F. (Wise) Sawtelle.  Preceded in death by parents; loving husband, Carl Jones, who died June 16, 1996; sons, David and Carl Jones; sisters, Mary Nelson, Evelyn Kutruff, Irene Blackner, Edna Vermeulin; and brothers, Charles Sawtelle, William Sawtelle, and Russell Hanson.  Survived by daughters, Diana Keith, Northern Cambria; Alice (Robert) Shonsky, Northern Cambria; Janet (Charles) Bair, Gipsy; and Bruce (Janice) Jones, St. Boniface.  Also 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  Pearl worked as a housekeeper at Miners Hospital.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved caring for her family and sharing time with her children and grandchildren and their families. She also adored her cat, Snowy and dog, Fanny.  She was a member of the Christian Alliance Church.  In her free time she enjoyed bingo, playing cards, scratching lottery tickets, cooking and baking.  Family and friends will be received Monday, February 16, 2026, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc. Northern Cambria, from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Lecorchick officiating.  Committal, North Barnesboro Cemetery.
