Philip E. Anderson Sr.

ANDERSON, PHILIP E. SR., 79, Emeigh, passed away April 18, 2025, at home.  Born February 21, 1946, in Spangler, the son of Jay and Dessie (Myers) Anderson.  Preceded in death by parents; wife, Carol (Stein) Anderson, who died in 2002; brother, Warren Anderson; and sister, Lois Patterson.  Survived by children, Lisa Arlott, Marsteller; Philip Anderson Jr. (Sherri Palmisano), Cherry Tree; Brenda Keith (Ronald Lydic), Emeigh; Brett Anderson, Emeigh; Kathy (Joseph) Vitzen, Cherry Tree; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.  Also survived by brother, Paul Anderson, Greenwich; and sisters, Geraldine Patterson, N. Cambria; Mary Keith and Martha Kibler, both of Greenwich; and Maria Swan, Ohio.  Member of Alverda Faith Tabernacle Church, where he was a member of the board of directors and served as a Sunday School teacher.  Retired coal miner from Greenwich Collieries and member of UMWA.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the outdoors.  He was a man of great faith and enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggart on TV and attend church regularly.  He was also a fan of TV game shows.  Family and friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where funeral services will be held by Rev. Robert Bartlebaugh.
