Richard S. Zaliznock Sr.

ZALIZNOCK, RICHARD S. SR., 78, Elmora, passed away April 7, 2025.  Born February 5, 1947, in Spangler, the son of Michael Zaliznock and Bernadine (Ellig) Zaliznock-Nazarak.  Preceded in death by parents; loving wife, Laura (Miller) Zaliznock, who died October 12, 2017; and brothers, Robert, Edward, and James Zaliznock.  Survived by son, Richard (Jaime) Zaliznock Jr., Carrolltown; and grandchildren, Loryn, Richard III, and Nicholas. Brother of Jean Stockley, FL; Carol Weiland, OH; Michael Zaliznock, PA; Daniel Zaliznock, Cresson; Ronald Zaliznock, OH; and Tom Zaliznock, Watkins.  Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown.  Retired coalminer having worked for Bethlehem, Greenwich and Barnes & Tucker Mines. Family and friends are invited to a funeral mass which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at St. Benedict Church.  Fr. Michael Gabler, OSB, celebrant.  Committal, church cemetery.
