Robert R. Benamati Sr.

BENAMATI, ROBERT R. SR., 72, Northern Cambria, passed away April 29, 2021 at home.  Born September 17, 1948 in Alverda, the son of Delmo Bert and Mary (Geneva) Benamati. Preceded in death by parents, and brothers, David and Richard.  Survived by loving wife of 52 years, Carol A. Biros; sons, Robert R. (Carole) Benamati, Sellersville; John A. (Sharon) Benamati, Heilwood; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one on the way.  Also survived by sister, Gloria (Randy) Sexton of Indiana, PA; mother-in-law, Helen Biros, who lived with them for many years; sister-in-law, Jean Benamati and numerous nieces and nephews.  Retired coalminer of Bethlehem Mines Corp. Cambria 33 Mine.  Member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, Nicktown and the Knights of Columbus.  Bob will be missed dearly by his family, friends and his little buddy Fuzzy.  Friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday May 7, 2021 at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, Nicktown, Father Jeremiah Lange, OSB, celebrant.  Committal, St. Nicholas Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Nicholas Church, PO Box 37, Nicktown, PA 15762 or Spangler Fire Company, PO Box 454, Northern Cambria, PA 15714.
