Robert J. Chura

CHURA, ROBERT J., 80, Cortland, Ohio, native of Hastings, passed away August 21, 2021, at Trumbull County Regional Medical Center.  Born May 8, 1941, in Spangler, the son of Louis and Catherine (Beltowski) Chura.  Preceded in death by parents; son, Robert Chura Jr.; sisters, Dorothy Johnson and Marie Baker; and brothers, Alvin, Theodore, and Thomas Chura.  Survived by loving wife, Beverly (Frohman) Chura; sons, Roy Chura, Leavittsburg, OH and Cory Chura, Cortland, OH; step-sons, Joshua Frohman, Cortland, OH and Mark Krempasky, Liberty Twp., OH; grandchildren, Madison and Savanna Chura; and step-grandchildren, Kendall and Genevieve Krempasky.  Also survived by sisters, Donna (Ronald) Runtas, Warren, OH and Debi (Steve) Jones, Springfield, TN.  US Air Force Veteran having served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars.  Retired from Packard Electric with 40 years of service.  A visitation will be held at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, Warren, OH from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 27.  Locally, friends will be received at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings beginning at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 30 with a funeral mass to follow at 11:00 a.m.  Fr. Thaddeus Rettger, OSB, celebrant.  Committal, St. Bernard Cemetery. Military honors by local veterans organizations.  Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria in charge of arrangements.
