CROOK, ROBERT H., Carrolltown, passed away May 16, 2020, at home. Born May 9, 1943, in Arcadia, the son of Harold Floyd and Elizabeth Irene (Baker) Crook. Preceded in death by parents; infant brother, Randall; and sister, Phyllis Zemrose. Survived by loving wife of 58 years, Carolyn A. (Kepler) Crook; daughters, Debbie, wife of Allen Rager, Vinco; Kim, wife of Jim Walkingshaw, Carrolltown; Christina, wife of Jack Rakaczky, Cumberland, MD; and son, Derek Crook, husband of Paula (Lydic), Westmont; grandchildren, Joshua Griffiths, Elizabeth Griffiths, Alyssa Walkingshaw, Levi Crook and Brock Crook. Sister of Virginia Crook, wife of Harold Lockard, Northern Cambria. Also survived by close and special friends, Bill & Mary Delaney and Charles & Patty Wilkinson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob was a self-employed salesman and business owner, establishing Sunrise Mobile Homes in 1983. Active in the local area, he was a previous board member of John Carroll Area Ambulance Association. An active outdoorsman and member of Carrolltown Rod & Gun Club. Member of Mason’s Union Lodge 31, New London, CT, Scottish Rite, and Shriners of Altoona, PA. Bob was a member of AA, and celebrated 24 years of sobriety on March 17, 2020. Through many years in the program, he became a passionate sponsor to sponsees of the program helping many on their journey to recovery. He touched and changed many lives as a sponsor and was sincerely committed to helping others. He was foremost, a devoted husband, father and grandfather who was happiest spending time with his family. Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria in charge of arrangements.
