Robert E. Hicks III

HICKS, ROBERT E. III, “Bobby” 53, Clymer, died unexpectedly, on Friday, September 29, 2023, at home.  Born June 9, 1970, in Indiana, the son of Robert E. Jr. and Margaret (Petrisko) Hicks, of Clymer.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Jennifer Horgan, of Shelocta; niece, Alaina Horgan; and nephews, Jacob Horgan, Ethan Horgan, and Owen Horgan, all of Shelocta.  Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Robert was a graduate of Penns Manor High School class of 1988.  He continued his education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he earned a degree in Secondary Social Studies Education and later a Master’s degree in History.   He was an avid outdoorsman, who valued nature and loved animals, especially his beloved dog, Wally.  He loved football and knew endless stats and information about his favorite teams.  He was a very proud and devoted uncle to his nephews and niece.  To his parents, he was invaluable, helping them maintain their home and property over the years.  Family and friends will be received from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 5, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where a funeral service will be held at 12 noon Friday. Interment, McDowell Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bobby’s name to Four Footed Friends.
