KOST, ROBERT, 87, St. Benedict, passed away August 7, 2023, at home. Born August 4, 1936, in St. Benedict, the son of William and Anna (Tocarchik) Kost. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Joan Hein; brother-in-law, Pat Bender; and nephew, Eric Bender. Survived by loving wife of 49 years, Helen (Ondo) Marusa Kost; sons, US Army Col. William Kost, Germany; Brian (Mishelle) Kost, Waco, TX; Jeffrey Kost, Denver, CO; and Dr. Robert (Gina, PHD) Kost, Broomfield, CO; grandchildren, Aspen Rose, Fenya, Weston and Florence Kost. Brother of Barbara Bender, Tucson, AZ; Lawrence (Virginia) Kost, Burke, VA; Sandra (Thomas) Gaydosh, Ruckersville, VA; Darlene (Matthew) McCaulley, Hollidaysburg, PA; Linda (Domenico) Giambanco, Colonial Heights, VA; and Debra (William) Deychar, Ruckersville, VA. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church. Retired Field Manager for Baltimore Life and Insurance Agent for Nationwide Insurance after a 50 year career in the industry. Formerly employed by Marhofer Bakery as a delivery driver and for A&P Stores. In his free time, Bob enjoyed refinishing and staining wood and was a fan of Pittsburgh Pirate baseball and Steelers Football. He was happiest spending time with family, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 14, 2023, at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church. Fr. Andriy Kelt officiating. Inurnment, St. Mary’s Ukrainian Cemetery.
