Roger A Young

YOUNG, ROGER A., 53, Westover, passed away the morning of September 11, 2022, at his home.  Born September 12, 1968, in Clearfield, the son of Barry and Nancy (Gowin) Young, of Westover.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by wife, Terry (Radebach) Young; children:  Roger & wife Alexa, Kaitlin (Tyler), Taylor, Nathan & wife Bryanna, and Austin & wife Tori.  Also grandchildren, Carter, Jace, Ariana, Kam, Rylan, Walker, Bowan, and another on the way.  Also survived by his sister, Glenda (Jack) Burba, of Hillsdale; niece & nephews, Courtney, Cameron, and Garrett.  Roger was a member of the East Ridge-Harmony United Methodist Church.  Also a member of the Civil Defense Club, Northern Cambria.  He was formerly employed by Rorabaugh Lumber for 28 years and was the owner/operator of Young Transportation.  He enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle & side by side, traveling with his wife, coaching, driving his school bus, and spending evenings hanging out at the house playing cornhole with his family and enjoying a cold beer.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend to everyone who knew him.  More than anything else, Roger loved spending time with his family.  Family and friends will be received from 2 – 4 & 5 – 8 p.m. Wednesday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc. Northern Cambria, and on Thursday September 15, beginning at 10 a.m. at East Ridge Harmony United Methodist Church, where service will begin at 11 a.m.  Interment Harmony Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers please make donations in Roger’s memory to Harmony Sports Boosters.
