GREGORY, RONALD, 74, Ebensburg, passed away April 24, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born May 16, 1950, in Spangler, the son of Geroge and Katherine (Bush) Gregory. Preceded in death by parents; siblings, John, Jim, Tom, and Doris. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Nadine (Miller) Gregory; daughters, Jacqueline, wife of Joseph Lee, Seward; and Jennifer, wife of Andrew Miller, Culpepper, VA; grandchildren, Brandon (Jordon), Michael (Diamond), Bradley (Emily), Gabrielle, Hunter (Klovert), Nate, Miah, Sarah, Emily, and Patrick; and great-grandchildren, Isabella, Beau, and Declan. Also surviving are siblings, Robert, Donna, Margaret, Barbara, and Sarah. He will also be missed by Sammy Girl and Jackson, his precious “fur babies” who were always by his side. Member of St. Michael Basilica, Loretto. Ronald proudly served in the US AirForce, making the military his career of 22 years. His span of service included tours in Vietnam through Operation Desert Storm. Among his many decorations, medals, and awards are: Meritorious Service Medal w/three Oak Leaf Clusters, AirForce Commendation Medal w/three Oak Leaf Clusters, AirForce Achievement Medal, AirForce Outstanding Unit Award w/one Silver and one Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, AirForce Organizational Excellence Award, Good Conduct Medal w/one Silver Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/one Bronze Service Star, AirForce Longevity Service Award Ribbon, Expert Marksmanship Ribbon w/Bronze Service Star, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm and two Devices. Upon retirement, Ron accepted a position with the Johnstown Housing Authority and worked another 20 years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and he and Nadine made family their priority. They enjoyed being a part of the lives and many activities of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ron looked forward to visits and laughs with Deb Chila, a special member of the family; and to time spent in the outdoors, being at the camp of his brother-in-law, Dave (Tammy), along with brother-in-law, Donny, where they created life-long memories and shared many great times. Honoring his request, there will be no public viewing or visitation. Family and friends are invited to a military service at 10:15 a.m. followed by a funeral service, Saturday, May 17, 2025.
